Design your bandana-type bib for your baby

Design your bandana-type bib for your baby

Learn how to make a bandana-type bib that will keep baby's clothes clean and dry while eating. And it's very easy to wash!
When it's time to eat, it's amazing how little food ends up in your baby's mouth. Fortunately, bibs are a fantastic solution to keep your baby's clothes clean.

You can buy them made, but if you are looking for a nice, practical and easy sewing project, look no further! Bandana type bibs are very easy to make. And if you have a girl, you can take advantage of the fabric to make a matching headband.

As for the choice of fabric, you have many options. If your baby tends to drool a lot, you can use velveteen, suede or polar fabric. But any light cotton fabric will do.

You will need to
Printed pattern of the bib.
Adhesive tape to join the patterns.
¼ meter of the chosen fabric.
Sewing machine.
Pressure button or Velcro strap to close the bib.
Scissors and pins.
Instructions
Using adhesive tape, join the dotted line Front A and Front B that will form the front of the bib along the dotted line. Similarly, the parts marked Back A and Back B will be the back.
Fold the chosen fabric and place the patterns on top with the arrows pointing to the fold. Cut the fabric following the pattern.
Using pins connect both fabrics with the 'good' side inwards. Make sure to align them correctly. Make the folds you need to adjust them.
Join both pieces with a straight seam, leaving an opening.
After turning the piece, make a straight seam around the entire edge.
Add the Velcro piece or several pressure buttons to make it adjustable. Ready!
